Have lived in New Orleans in the past so familiar with area but not since Katrina. Need help with suggestions for hotel to stay at when my daughter has her baby. Will be splitting time between Belle Chasse (where they live) and Oschner Hospital in Jeff Parish (where baby will be born). Prefer a clean, safe location but not too pricey. Suggestions please.
Hotel Suggestions
While your daughter is at Ochsner, why not just stay at Brent House? It%26#39;s the hotel attached to the Ochsner medical center. Clean, comfortable and inexpensive. Nothing around BUT the hospital, of course, but still a good option for you.
Once the baby%26#39;s born, move over to the westbank. There%26#39;s a brand-spanking new Holiday Inn at the General deGaulle exit. It%26#39;s a renovated hotel that%26#39;s been several brands in the past and looks nice enough from the freeway. Oakwood Mall is just .25 miles away too.
