Hi
I%26#39;m going to be in New Orleans Oct 8-12 ( I know this is so far from now) but I like to have my accommodations done well in advance so I can plan my actual trip as we near the dates.
This is what my research has resulted in (btw I want to stay in the French Quarter):
St Marie: 312/pp (AAA) or 294/pp (Value)
Omni Royal Cresent: 270/pp (AAA)
Place D%26#39;Armes:
(balcony) 327/pp (hotels.com); 330/pp(AAA); 312/pp (Value)
(interior): 258/pp (AAA); 244/pp (Value)
Prince Conti: 338/pp (hotels.com); 268/pp (AAA); 252/pp (Value)
I would like to hear from anyone who has stayed at any of these and get a feedback as to which would be best. I want to stay somewhere nice (not run down) but I don%26#39;t want to spend an arm and a leg either.
Thanks so much!!
Help me compare hotels please
The Omni Royal Crescent is not in the French Quarter - are you referring to the Omni Royal Orleans?
If so, then hands down, stay at the Omni! No question, it%26#39;s the best hotel on your list!
Help me compare hotels please
oh i think the price for the other omni was more.. =o(
where is omni royal cresent?
The Omni Royal Crescent is one block out of the Quarter, on Gravier Street in the CBD. Of the hotels you mentioned, the Omni is the nicest. The others have central French Quarter locations. It%26#39;s a tradeoff.
omni royal orleans is def out of budget -- its 405/pp =o(
The Omni Royal Crescent is in the CBD, which is a couple blocks from the French Quarter. It%26#39;s still a pretty good hotel and walkable to the Quarter, but again it%26#39;s not in the French Quarter.
The Omni currently has a promotion about getting a third night free, so you might want to look into that.
Also, these prices seem very steep to me. Do they include airfare? I would never pay more than $200 for the quality of these hotels, aside from the Omni. Have you tried Bookit.com?
no these dont include airfare.. aifare was less!! only 199$ =o)
but yea.. these are the prices im getting either directly from their site or from hotels.com
i havent tried bookit for new orleans yet.. lemme give it a go
if not the omni (bc i really just want to stay in french quarter), wat other hotels wud u guys recommend?
I just checked your dates on Bookit.com and got the Royal Sonesta for under $250 a night, which is one of the best hotels in the French Quarter.
I also found the Bourbon Orleans and Maison Dupuy for under $200.
Hey Thanks!!
LOL btw.. the price isnt per night that i wrote.. thats the price for the whole 4 nites.
whats your opinion on hotel royal french quarter
