Le Richelieu?

We are going to New Orleans for the first time in July. I am looking at the Le Richelieu hotel. Please let me know if you think this is a good choice?

Thanks so much!

Le Richelieu?

It%26#39;s a nice older hotel. Good location, clean and nice staff. It doesn%26#39;t have non-smoking rooms, if I remember correctly, and it%26#39;s not as ';up-to-date'; decorwise as some other hotels. Still, nearly everyone agrees that it%26#39;s a good value. Free parking, too!

Le Richelieu?

What are your requirements in a hotel? It%26#39;s a small, clean, basic hotel (not too many frills) in a quiet part of the French Quarter. Very few hotels offer free parking these days, which is a plus point. One downside I%26#39;ve heard recently is that reviews have been mixed of late.

Nice, small, older, quaint and clean sounds lovely to me. I do want to stay in the French Quarter and love to explore the culture of a place when I am visiting. I like boutique type hotels rather than the fancy schmancy hotels. I like that it has a pool, also, since we will be visiting in July. We probably will be flying, so the parking lot isnt really important. Thanks so much for your answers.
