Which one to choose? Has anyone stayed in these hotels? I am leaning toward the monteleone, but wondered if someone could give me some personal feedback! Thanks, heading there for the 4th of July? Think it will be too hot?

Monteleone - great New Orleans atmosphere and charm! Best location of out all three too! The others are standard corporate-style hotels.

It is normally very hot in July. Just pop into stores, bars, boutiques along the way and you will be fine. Wear light clothes and comfortable shoes.
A Sheraton is a Sheraton but the Monteleone is New Orleans. As another suggested go in and out the shops and do carry water with you. Many do the morning tours etc. and rest by the pool in the afternoon or go to the aquarium or Harrahs or museums to stay out of the heat in order to have energy for the evening.

Stay at the Monteleone, especially in July because the pool on the 16th? floor is amazing, I have stayed there in July it is a gorgeous hotel and NOLA experience. I have stayed at the Sheraton too and there is no comparison. Request the wing where the pool is and a river view room at the Monteleone.
