Has anyone been to Muriel%26#39;s since Chef Gus Martin has taken over? I read a couple of positive reviews on other boards since he has taken over. We have been there in the past and thought it to be okay but have not returned for the past few years. Thanks!

Muriel%26#39;s is one of my favorites-the crepe appetizer, grilled fish, and bread pudding and squeeze in a cup of gumbo too. And have a drink in the Seance%26#39; bar.
I went to Muriel%26#39;s about two months back, and it was good, but not great. Gus Martin came from Ralph%26#39;s on the Park, which is one of my favorite restaurants here, so I had high expectations going into Muriel%26#39;s, but it didn%26#39;t completely meet them.
The food was good, but I was expecting amazing, especially since there%26#39;s a lot of amazing in New Orleans. It%26#39;s good ambience though...
i had an excellent meal* there in December, having been there before I can see a definite improvement.
*ok, maybe my endorsement should be taken with a grain of salt, since i haven%26#39;t eaten meat/fish in fifteen years. I had a very nice meal of wood grilled vegetables and tagliatelle primavera though!
