I see that it is suppossed to rain and thunderstorm Friday and Saturday....this should make for a different kind of trip....I wonder will the music still go on?

The music always goes on! Also, take the weather forecast with a grain of salt. It was supposed to rain and thunder all last weekend, and it was sunny for the most part!
New Orleans weather is notoriously unpredictable and rain or shine there will always be a party!

Ignore the weather forecasts in terms of French Quarter Festival schedules. The show will go on unless there is lightning! And a little ';weather'; may even thin the crowds some.
