we have never been to New Orleans or Biloxi, and hope someone can give some suggestions..
We plan to go to New Orleans in August with 2 kids ages 8 and 10. My hudsband is interested to go to Biloxi because of the casinos. If we were to go to stay in Biloxi, chances are that he will accompany us during the day but spent 4 or 5 out 7 nights in the casinos. I do not have too much problems with that, however, from what I can see there are not too many kids friendly activities in Biloxi.
We will be flying to New Orleans (FF tickets), hence I was thinking may be we can use New Orleans as a base, and spend one or two days in Biolxi. Is it doable? the drive won%26#39;t be too bad, right? I thought it is a 2 hour drive. I think there will be more things to do in New Orleans, true?
staying in New Orleans or Biloxi ?There is definitely more to do in New Orleans, and a lot that your kids will enjoy. There is also a Harrah%26#39;s Casino in New Orleans..
staying in New Orleans or Biloxi ?I%26#39;d definitely recommend using New Orleans as your base, since there are way more things to do there. I just came back from a day trip to the Biloxi area today, and it took me 1.5 hours. If you decide to stay a day or two in Biloxi, check out the Beau Rivage - very nice casino resort aka the ';Bellagio'; of the Mississippi gulf coast.
August is very HOT be sure to stay in a hotel with a pool.check out the water park in gulfport and the ship island ferry to a baarrier island part of the Gulf island national seashore.
Thanks for that advice.
