Hey everyone. There will be 14 of us coming for a bachelor party on Feb 29-Mar 2. We rented a bunch of rooms at Queen and Crescent so we are staying right on the edge of the Quarter. I%26#39;ve been to New Orleans many times but never for a bachelor party. I%26#39;m looking for ideas to ensure that the bachelor has a great time. We have though about renting a balcony on Bourbon but don%26#39;t really know if it would be worth it on the dates that we are going. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Bachelor Party Ideas
I%26#39;m pretty sure that this is the first time that I%26#39;ve ever been let down by Tripadvisor? Surely someone has some input or advice for us.
Hey jsmiii24,
My first 4 trips to NO were on bachelor parties, all of us were in our late 20%26#39;s - mid 30%26#39;s. We always paid for a balcony room at the Royal Sonesta for the bachelor %26amp; best man, the rest of us would get regular rooms because of the cost. We always started off our evenings with dinner, most of the time breaking off into smaller groups to get seated quicker, not always at the same restaurants. Then we%26#39;d meet at the courtyard bar at Pat O%26#39;s for Hurricanes to start our evening. Stay an hour or two, meet up with some girls (or not), then hit the streets %26amp; just wander. We did have a path, we%26#39;d start in one direction from Pat O%26#39;s, then double back once we got near the end of all the bars and make our way all the way back down the street towards our hotel. We always found a good place to eat around 1-2am, then some would walk to the casino %26amp; gamble a couple hrs. Sleep late, hit the pool for a while, big lunch down by the river or French Mkt. Walk the streets in the afternoon, then start over. Back in the day before there was Harrah%26#39;s in the Quarter, we%26#39;d have to cab it over to the boats if anyone wanted to gamble.
We never had a set agenda as far as the bars we went to, we just picked the ones that were hoppin%26#39; %26amp; stayed %26#39;til we%26#39;d had our fill. Usually a few would go in a place, the others would hang closeby or go to the next one, or one of the doors selling shot or the Big-A$$ Beers.
Have a good trip, I know it will be a good time...oh,and don%26#39;t spill anything off the balcony, and no glass, can%26#39;s or plastic only. If PD sees glass, he%26#39;s coming up! And yes, someone will drop a glass at some point!
Norman,
Thanks for all of the info. That%26#39;s kind of what the plans are. Just roam around and let the party find us. We%26#39;ve decided on dinner at The Grill Room Friday night and probably a balcony on Saturday night. Should be a lot of fun. Thanks again.
Hey jsmiii24,
My buddies and I went to N.O. for my bachelor party, and we had an amazing time.
For your party, it all depends on what the bachelor wants to do. But, do some research and give him some ideas.
There are plenty of strip clubs to visit. Rick%26#39;s is a good time. A bit upscale, but very good. The Hustler Club is another good one. You%26#39;ll see a lot of guys handing out cards for various clubs, which will give you ideas of where to go. And if you and your friends want to get the bachelor into a little trouble, take him to the Bangkok Spa.
As for bars, take him to the piano bar inside Pat O%26#39;Brien%26#39;s. A large group can easily take it over and have a good time. Also, the Cat%26#39;s Meow for some karaoke, which drunk, is a lot of fun. Try and get to a bar that offers 3 for $1.00. It%26#39;s a great deal, especially with a large group.
Even though there are plenty of well known places to eat, try a local joint. Mother%26#39;s for lunch is a good option.
You%26#39;re probably running into Spring Break, so I%26#39;m sure Bourbon Street will be busy. Bring your own beads. Don%26#39;t buy down there.
I hope some of these suggestions are helpful. Have a good time, and keep the camera at home.
Hey, saw your post and was wondering if you had a second to give me some insight. Leading 13 deep down to new orleans for a bachelor party the first weekend of jazzfest, staying at the royal sonesta and was wondering if you could give me any recommendations for bars, dinners, etc and how your trip was. Would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
i recommend http://www.neworleansbachelorparties.com for stripper entertainment. they are the most reputable company for that sort of thing. i went to a party for a major entertainer a couple of weeks ago and that was the company they used referred word of mouth by a guy there that had a bachelor party a few months ago which i also attended. the girls were knock outs AGAIN! and were the actual billboard girls we saw driving in from the airport. they had a flame dancer and boobs everywhere. they aren%26#39;t overly advertised so you have to look. one of the girls did gymnastics and it all turned into this huge foam party.. completely incredible people are still talking about it.
Quite informative post on bachelor party gift ideas. Couple of months ago, I attended my best friend’s bachelor party which was arranged at a lovely event space Chicago. All our friends attended and we had an excellent time there.
