Comps and Casino's

Hi I am from the UK and know a guy who is going to Vegas in June and only paying $45 for Friday and Saturday nights at the Flamingo..and getting 5 other nights FREE...!!!

Does signing up for a card get you great bargains like this..or is there( suspect there is as no such thing as a free lunch)a catch and you have to gamble so much per stay,or has he won enough points to stay there

My thoughts on players cards are: If you plan on going and spending money on gambling you might as well have the card and reap the rewards of free rooms and food. You do have to gamble before receiving anything free. But if you are spending the money anyway..... Get the freebies. I do not spend any more than I intend to spend anyway chasing comps.

Some casinos cards have better award programs than others. In Shreveport the Eldorado and Diamond Jacks seem to be the best in my experience.

Thanks Droyster..sound advice..as they say..';never gamble more than you can lose';...though the free beds / food are a comforting thought.

I just was not sure of how the sysyem worked.
