Friday%26#39;s calendar has the opening parade at 10:00, and it%26#39;s shown starting at 9:00 on special events page. What to do?

Good music schedule in 2009, I think. None of the artists are jumping out at me, which I kinda like since I can go to any stage and her good stuff.

I wouldn%26#39;t mind slightly less-perfect weather this year, either. The crowds were a bit much in 2008!

now now Cajunwave, be carefull what you wish for. If the 2 choices are sunny %26amp; hot or cooler and rainy, I%26#39;ll take the sunny %26amp; hot anyday!! Good for the tan, and good for the booths selling ';beverages';. he, heee

But, I have to agree with you on the crowds. I remember reading last year about crowds of 350 to 400 thousand?!??!?? A bit much... which is why you%26#39;ll never see me at Margd Gras, a million people?!?!?? My Lord!! :-)

Friday is the least crowded, so I%26#39;m definitely heading over there then, but Amanda Shaw is playing on Sunday, and I love her, so definitely have to make it out then too :)

I love Amanda Shaw too! She is playing at the Old Mint stage at 3pm Sunday just like last year!

I thought that the schedule was just a tad weaker this year (maybe because last year was the big 25th anniversary event).

Saturday in particular seemed the weakest. Sunday, on the other hand looks the best to me with lots of good options!

As far as the parade goes, I%26#39;d pretty much figure 10:00. They seem to tell time different in New Orleans, because nothing seems to start %26#39;on time%26#39;!

I don%26#39;t remember the weather last year, but I remember buying an LSU sweatshirt because I got cold and (of course) didn%26#39;t have the right clothes, so it must not have been too hot....

It was hot and muggy Friday, then it rained overnight and a cold front came through. Sat %26amp; Sun were cool and beautiful. I hope it is like that this year.
