FQF first timer!

Going to FQF for the first time with a group of close friend...need input on must do%26#39;s for the weekend. Have seen all the tourist stuff on other trips.

FQF first timer!

What tourist stuff have you done already? Did your friends do them as well?

FQF first timer!

Welcome back to the city that care forgot! Please see the thread for our meet %26amp; greet next Saturday. We would love to meet you and your group.

Meanwhile, check out the FQF food %26amp; music schedule at this link-

Soooo much to eat and do!

You will LOVE the festival if you love music. Since you have done all the ';touristy'; stuff on past visits, why not just hang around the Quarter and enjoy all the music venues.

Catch all your favorite styles of music with a cold Abita in hand, and sample all the delicious food!

There are stages set up at the Mint, along the river and in the Quarter. Have you visited the FQFI website? Here it is. Gives you the scheule of music for the entire three days.

Enjoy. I%26#39;ll probably see you there.

Just follow your ears and relax!

I was lucky enough to have the fqf and my work schedule line up where I was able to go last year on short notice and loved it. Great weather, crowds but not crowded, great music all around.

Thanks folks. Looking forward to a great weekend with friends and locals from NO. Just need an escape from the pressures of the times. This may just be it.

What are your suggestions on bands/performers to see on the Friday of FQF? Prefer something that moves, something with a beat. Anyone?

Friday choices for me:

Waylon Thibideaux at the Mint at 11:15

Jonno and Bayou at the Mint at 1:20

Preservation Hall Band at 1:30 at Presrvation Hall

Pfister Sisters at Jackson Square at 3:00

Coco Robicheaux at Abita Stage at 4:45
