Last night on the Travel channel

Good show last night on Man vs. Food. He went to Mother%26#39;s, Deanie%26#39;s, and Acme Oyster House. Made my mouth water.

Thanks for the head%26#39;s up! Not the biggest fan of Mother%26#39;s, but I like the other two places :)

I cringe every time I see Adam promoting Mother%26#39;s..I wish I could have shown him the two dozen or more places with better po boys/food.

I caught it last week. He takes the Acme Oyster House FIFTEEN dozen oyster challenge. I won%26#39;t spoil the outcome for those who have not seen it, but it is very entertaining.

Ok, so I%26#39;m going to New Orleans this week. I wanted to go to Mother%26#39;s, but if there are other places that are better, where are they.

Po-boys in New Orleans was asked about-I consider this list to be far superior than Mother%26#39;s.

Parisol%26#39;s, Parkway Bakery in mid city;Johnny%26#39;s on St. Louis, Liuzza%26#39;s at the track, Acme Oyster House, Casamento%26#39;s on Magazine, Bozo%26#39;s in Metairie, the Galley, Mr. Ed%26#39;s, Mandina;s in mid city, even Maspero%26#39;s on Decatur and on and on and on.

Yup, there are way better places than Mother%26#39;s for po-boys!

My favorites are Domilise%26#39;s and Crabby Jack%26#39;s. But, in the French Quarter, I like Johnny%26#39;s, though Red Fish Grill has a good BBQ shrimp po-boy that%26#39;s as good as Luizza%26#39;s. Another vote for Parkway Bakery and Tavern in Mid-city.

It%26#39;s not technically a po-boy, but the oyster loaf at Casamento%26#39;s is my favorite oyster sandwich in the city!

Definitely Johnny%26#39;s if youre in the Quarter

Crabby Jack%26#39;s and Parkway are very good too.
