Events in June

I am considering visiting Baton Rouge for a weekend and would like to know how I can find out if there will be any events in June-i.e. convention centers, outdoors events, etc. Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau...? Also, any must-sees?

Also, which airport should I land at?

Check out: visitbatonrouge.com/public/calendar/index.cfm - June calendar is not up yet, though I don%26#39;t think there would be many special events in June.

Arts Council may also be able to provide info. but I didn%26#39;t see anything noted yet for June. http://www.artsbr.org/

There are always museums, plantations, swamp tours, great food, LSU campus, Farmers%26#39; Markets, great shopping, New Orleans visit, Cajun country visit to Lafayette area, etc.

Flying into Baton Rouge would be more convenient but probably more expensive than New Orleans airport which is an hour away via I-10. You would also need to rent a car either way.
