A little help with putting together a day for the family

I would like to put a special day together for my family. I would like to take my son and daughter on a horse/buggy ride; but, what I mostly need help with is this:

I would like to park near the aquarium, take the boat (if still available) to the zoo, then street car back (not sure if possible or how to use properly).

Any help with making that packed day easier to handle is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, the zoo ferry is no longer in service. The Steamboat Natchez company has plans to revive it, but it%26#39;s not up and running yet.

It would be better (cheaper) to park at the Zoo for free, and then take the streetcar to the Aquarium, if you are planning to do both in one day. Otherwise, the Aquarium offers discounted validated parking at nearby lots.

Horse/buggies can be found in front of Jackson Square, a short walk from the Aquarium.

Thanks for the information! Maybe we%26#39;ll just do the aquarium since my 6 year old says we HAVE to have beignets; but, good tip with the free parking at the zoo!
