Blackjack Rules in Shreveport ?

Can someone tell me what the current rules for BJ are in the S/BC casinos ? Are they all 3:2, split any pair, dbl down on anything (including split aces?, etc, etc ???

Do they have single or double deck play ? What are rules for those ? Table minimums/maximums ? Any and all details appreciated !

I%26#39;ve searched the forum and only get TWO hits on Blackjack, period, and nothing about the rules and conventions of play. Looks like these casinos make their money off the slot players. I can%26#39;t break my wife from playing the damn things, so I%26#39;ve got to make up for it at the tables.

Thanks ya%26#39;ll.

Blackjack Rules in Shreveport ?

Hi Lobo,

My husband plays blackjack in Shreveport and I asked him about single deck play. He told me as far as he knew no casino in Shreveport has it. He enjoys playing at Eldorado. I read your post on the Vegas forum. You were asking about the comps. It doesn%26#39;t take much play to get comps there. We played one afternoon there and then received a phone call offering us a free room on Friday. I understand from this and other forums that Boomtown and Diamond Jacks are better about comping. My husband liked playing BJ at those places also.

I am like your wife, hung up on the slots. They are so much fun. But they are really tight these days. I understand that Boomtown is the place to play slots. We did pretty good at Diamond Jacks. Couldn%26#39;t hit anything at Sam%26#39;s Town, Eldorado or Harrahs

I really wish this forum was more active like the Vegas. I know there is a wealth of info out there for us Shreveport players. Guess a lot of people don%26#39;t get as excited about LA as they do Vegas, LOL

We live in Central Texas and this is the closest place for us to gamble. We are going July 22nd for a couple of days.

Hope this helps you a little. Good luck on your trip. Write a trip report when you return and I will do the same.

Blackjack Rules in Shreveport ?

Hi there,

I am from central Texas also (I replied to this on the Vegas forum).

I just got back from El Dorado yesterday and my huband and I both did good on BJ.......

The blackjack table at El Dorado also states that the dealer stands on ALL 17%26#39;s.

I did not see single or double deck BJ there at all.

The slots at El Dorado are pretty tight........I had also heard that Boomtown was the best casino for slots also :)

Lea :)

Hi Lea

Thanks for the info. It is nice to hear from someone from our neck of the woods. We live close to Austin so the drive to Shreveport is about as close as we can get to a casino.

Did you stay at the Eldorado hotel? We have reservation for the 22nd and I was wondering if they have any rooms with a hot tubs.

Did you play slots at any of the other casinos? Or just blackjack? My husband did well at Diamond Jacks playing blackjack. Really liked the dealers. Have you%26#39;ll every played at Boomtown.? Do you know anything about the hotel/casino?

I wish this forum was as active as the Vegas!!!!!

Hey. I went to shreveport twice this summer.

The blackjack rules are:

6 decks

3:2

split (up to three times i believe)(aces okay to split)

double after split

dbl down after split is ok

stands on Soft 17

*NO SURRENDER ( vegas is better because they allow this)

my favorite was eldorado (sunday morning tables empty. Perfect for a casual card counter)

penetration varied between 66% to 80% depending on the dealer.

dealers were really slow which was frustrating...

spread between $5 to 100 (i believe), but also 10 - ?, 25-?

Good luck.

anyone going to shereport may May 6th thru 14th counting. What is best places to play and get comps Help! Team?
