Hilton New Orleans St Charles

Booked a trip over memorial day weekend. Looking for something comfortable, clean and convenient to everything.

Am looking into staying at the Hilton on St Charles. Any advice? Nice hotel?

Hilton New Orleans St Charles

It has more of a local feel to it than the much bigger (and more sterile) Hilton Riverside.

I had to check, I thought I had posted a review of the place when I stayed last summer, but I only reviewed their restaurant. (Which I wasn%26#39;t real please with, but that%26#39;s another story).

Anyway, the hotel has a decent number of reviews here on TA if you haven%26#39;t seen them yet. My room was on the small side but comfortable enough. I had a problem getting cold water, first time that ever happened - everything out of the tap varied from lukewarm to scalding. Hoping they%26#39;ve fixed that by now, at the time they blamed it on full occupancy because they had taken in the people from the Intercontinental across the street due to a fire.

Beautiful historic building, and it%26#39;s in the CBD, making it a quick walk to the FQ but fairly empty streets at night.

The Hilton on St. Charles is a decent hotel, but I like the location and amenities of the Hilton Riverside better. The Hilton St. Charles does have the fabulous Luke restaurant inside - one of John Besh%26#39;s restaurants, which is casual, bistro fare! Excellent!
