Last Trip report... sorry for posting so much, but we did SOOOOO much when we were in New Orleans, and I just wanted to report back everything we did.
This was our last full day, and for breakfast we headed over to Elizabeth%26#39;s for some Pork Candy! WOW, I couldn%26#39;t imagine what Praline Bacon would taste like, but man was that good! It was so sweet, and so unique! Just awesome! We ordered two plates of it, but one would have been perfect. We had Waffles and strawberries, and French toast with cream cheese and strawberries. Just amazing!
We had a cab dropping someone off as soon as we walked out, and had him ride us up to the French Market. We stopped into Central Grocery for a muffaletta. Since we had done so much in such a short time, we decided we would ';take it easy'; the last day and just go back and do a couple things that we liked from previous days. But first we headed back to the Hotel to relax a bit and eat the Muffaletta later on since we were stuffed from breakfast.
We headed out to the French Market for one last trip through, and went back to Lafittes and Pat O%26#39;Brien%26#39;s for the last hurricanes of the trip. After hanging out at Pat O%26#39;Brien%26#39;s again, we took a slow trip up Bourbon hitting all the bars with bands in them.
About 5:00 or 6:00 is the ABSOLUTE BEST time to walk Bourbon. The bars are filled with great bands, it%26#39;s not that crowded, and you can just pop in and out listening to all the great music.
Our last dinner was at Felix%26#39;s for some Oyster shooters and Po-Boys. I am still craving the Oysters! We thought about Acme, but the line was long, and we didn%26#39;t have to wait for Felix%26#39;s so it worked out. I am STILL craving some oyster shooters just writing about them they were that good!
The rest of the night was spent going in and out of bars on Bourbon, drinking and dancing. It was a great time!
Thanks for all the help! We didn%26#39;t make it to everything on our list, but we sure made a good effort! Can%26#39;t wait to go back!
