Hotel or Campground?

I checked the forum this weekend and decided the Quality Inn and Suites New Orleans is probably our safest bet on my husband being able to park his own truck (diesel trucks and men, surely you understand). Does anyone know if this is a fenced parking lot or garage parking and is it a secure lot? Also, is it safe to walk to everything from here? I am thinking we will probably come in on Tuesday or Wednesday, since we leave Destin on Friday. Unless, someone may know of a place to stay that would allow a fifth wheel in the parking lot on a Friday night? Thanks for all your help.

Call the property directly to ask them about the parking specifics. There is more than one Quality Inn %26amp; Suites, so parking options vary.

Which location are you considering?

Hotel or Campground?

210 O%26#39;Keefe Ave. New Orleans.

According to the hotel website, parking is in a garage, 6%26#39;2'; clearance and charges $17 per day, in and out priveleges. Again, check with the property directly to clarify...I will say that, as the driver of a Honda Pilot, it%26#39;s a rare parking garage anywhere around here that I find isn%26#39;t tight...and my car isn%26#39;t nearly as large as your fifth wheel ;-)

As to the location, you%26#39;re a fairly good hike from most major attractions. OK during the day, but you%26#39;ll want to take a cab at night.

Why don%26#39;t you stay in the Warehouse District and park at Harrah%26#39;s garage for free (with 30 minutes of play)? This is a much nicer area.

I go to school about two blocks from your hotel on O%26#39;Keefe, and it%26#39;s fine during the day, but a little sketchy at night, so just use caution/cabs late at night.
