Need help finding things to do in the Gallano/Golden Meadow/ Port Fourchon/ Grand Isle area for a day/night time frame.
ideas to do south N.O. in the Lafourche area
Wisconsin: I am certain you have a plan to visit Galliano/Golden Meadow and Port Fourchon. These would not represent one of my favorite spots to view, unless I had family there to visit. Except for that, there is not much to see or do.
Port Fourchon especially is just a jumping off spot for the offshore crews....just a dock.
In Lafourche Parish, there are some small towns to visit that have something to offer. One is Houma, and the website is www.houmatourism.com
Another town near Houma is Thibodaux. Of the two, Houma has more to offer and travel between the two towns is very uneventful unless you enjoy an occasional home and wide open space. Also, be careful of the speed limit, someone will be watching.

After viewing the website for Houma, if you have any questions, let me know and I will try and assist.
Otherwise, hope this helps and your visit is pleasant, restful and everything you expected it would and should be.

My husband has to go to Port Fourchon for work for the day and thought if there was something to do I would sightsee while he worked.
Grand Isle is very close to Port Fourchon. I went fishing there a few months back, and it was a very calm and serene atmosphere. http://www.grand-isle.com/
Fishing, swimming, eating and drinking......that covers the possible activities in the area. The scenery doesn%26#39;t do much for me because I%26#39;ve seen all the marsh I care to see. But, if you%26#39;ve never ridden through salt marsh, it can be beautiful.
