My rough draft for New Orleans trip - any advice appreciated
Great plan so far!
Day 1 - Does BF have a place to sit down and eat? I am embarrassed to say I have not been there so I%26#39;m not sure. Also instead of Creole Creamery I would eat at La Divina Gelateria on Magazine Street. Much better product by a long shot, imho. Jacques Imos is great! Get there early or be prepared to wait (it%26#39;s a fun wait, though!).
Day 2 - have heard really good things about Coop%26#39;s but have not been. Good plan!
Day 3 - Stanleys over Petunia%26#39;s, in my opinion!
Day 4 looks good
Day 5 - I am just not a central grocery fan. :( Plus you can%26#39;t eat it there, I don%26#39;t think. I would eat at Napoleon House or something else instead, but that%26#39;s just me.
Have a great time!!
My rough draft for New Orleans trip - any advice appreciated
-BF doesnt have a spot to eat Worldtrav says eat across on a patio I believe.
-I will look into la divina, how are the prices at Jacques?
-How is napoleon houses prices?
-My parents are cheap lol, but if its worth were going.
***More questions
-Is Acme too busy at dinner time? Move to lunch?
-Mr b’s is too formal? Pricey?
-Deanies prices? Really good?
Some good choices. I%26#39;d have only a couple suggestions, and would agree with supreme on some points.
Don%26#39;t eat too much on your Day 1 late lunch, unless you plan on a late dinner. Jacques Imo%26#39;s serves LARGE portions, and you want to arrive hungry, to enjoy a full meal.
And seconding supreme%26#39;s points, Stanley%26#39;s would be my choice for b/fast on Day 3 as well. And, I%26#39;m not much of a Central Grocery fan, either. I%26#39;d relax and eat at Napoleon House, as that%26#39;s a great suggestion.
You%26#39;ll have some good food. Look around this site for things to do between eating, you%26#39;ll find plenty of activities.
Enjoy!
Jacques Imo%26#39;s and Napoleon House are reasonably priced.
Acme can get crowded at dinner time. We usually go early or late to avoid the lines.
Mr. B%26#39;s is not too formal. Business casual. It is a bit pricier than your others, but not outrageous.
Jacques-Imo%26#39;s runs about $24-30 per entree on average, which includes salad and two sides. The servings are quite large!
Napoleon House will be a lot cheaper (around the same price as Coop%26#39;s Place).
I%26#39;m a fan of the Creole Creamery b/c it has such a local flair (high school friends of mine even worked there) and the flavors can be wild. La Divina is a gelato place, and though I like it, it has a more cosmopolitan vibe. If you go to the Creole Creamery, try the Tchoupitoulas Challenge! :)
Mr. B%26#39;s is formal, but not THAT formal, though it is pricey. In the same range as Jacques-Imo%26#39;s, maybe a little more. http://www.mrbsbistro.com/menus.php
Deanie%26#39;s is reasonably priced and the servings are big!
Looks like you will be eating a lot:=). Be sure your days work with schedules. Jacques Imos is closed on Sunday. Central Grocery is closed on Mondays. Don%26#39;t miss Coop%26#39;s Place- (you may want to eat there twice- yummy). If I am understanding things correctly, Rock N%26#39; Bowl is more of a music/bar event than real bowling- it might be an evening activity-not a before dinner one.
One day one with a 4 o%26#39;clock arrival- I would not try BFS and Jacques Imo. Too much food, too long of a wait at (JI). Switch days one and two dinners IMO
I plan on eating alot at Big Fish so I put Acme Oyster for lighter a dinner then Jacques. I am a little worried Acme will be busy from reading reviews? Ill look more into bowling I might have to cut it out cause dads got a bad foot right now. Yeah the whole plan is to eat alot =). So many choices....

I%26#39;m in New Orleans right now, and me and my husband ate at Yo Mamma%26#39;s last night. We both thought it was great! The burgers are huge. You do have to be 21 to enter, though, so your brother might not be able to get in....
wow so 21 to enter even during the day?
