ijust read some posts about safe places to walk at night. how safe is the walk fromthe quality inn on o%26#39;keefe %26amp; common to the french quarter at night? thanks.

That area is pretty dark at night. I wouldn%26#39;t say it%26#39;s necessarily ';unsafe'; but I%26#39;d certainly take cabs late at night. At other times, just be aware of surroundings.

The hotel is in the CBD, so it%26#39;s busy during the daytime, but clears out at night, so it%26#39;s more a factor of you%26#39;ll probably be some of the only people on the CBD roads late at night vs. walking through an unsafe area.

I%26#39;d also take a cab late at night.

what%26#39;s the cbd area? also, i changed to the marriott on canal. is that better? thanks for the info.

The CBD is the downtown area, so it%26#39;s mostly office buildings and high-rises. The Marriott on Canal is in a much better location, especially since it borders the French Quarter.
