We have been to NOLA many times but never to the Jazz Fest. We are interested in your favorite favorite things to do / best tips.
We will be there the first weekend and are counting the days.
Thanks for any help!

Jazz Fest Favorites
I am heading down next week with my wife for our 8th Fest trip......you will love it. I will make it easy for you...go to www.swagland.com It has EVERYTHING you need to be a veteran Jazzfester.
Cheers. jck
Checked out that website and loved it - we sre still intrerested in the experts opinions of what to do.
Another vote for the crawfish monica - great food and great music, what%26#39;s not to like?!
Food-our favorites are cochon au lait, fried chicken, and crawfish monica
Events-I like to check out the grandstand (it%26#39;s a little air conditioned). They have cooking demonstrations where you can get a free sample, usually a local art installation, indoor bathrooms, and water fountains. I also love to shop the outdoor artisan stands.
Seating-decide if you want to carry a chair everywhere or use a blanket/groundcover for outdoor shows. If there is a particular tent show you want to see get there early to snag a seat.
General-bring sunscreen, prepare to be flexible! Some of the best music we%26#39;ve heard has been somewhere we just happened to stop that wasn%26#39;t on our ';must see'; list. have a great time!
Be sure to go to the Cajun/ zydeco stage and the gospel tent for some of that ';good'; music that you aren%26#39;t expecting.
Good point - I like the listen and stay thing as well. When we hear music that moves us we will be flexible.
I am also going to have to try crawfish Monica!
