weekend of April 3-5th

I%26#39;m trying to find a hotel for next weekend in the French Quarter and there is not a lot of availability and the hotel%26#39;s that are available are very expensive. Is there anything special going on next weekend in New Orleans? My husband and I have been going to New Orleans for the past three years at this time for our anniversary and have never had a problem getting a room but there were plenty available.

I did a quick check after googling the convention schedule for that time period and there are numerous small conventions but the total came to about 25,000 attendees.

For us to travel on the same dates as you it was going to cost $900 w/ airfare %26amp; a two night stay at the New Orleans Marriott. However after changing our dates to April 4 - 6 our the total cost came to $520. Seems to be the Friday night stay that jacks the price up. I realize that you probably don%26#39;t have the option of changing your dates but if it possible to change your dates you would save quiet a bit of money. Either way, have a fun %26amp; safe trip!

Taspat, it is possible for me to change my dates, work is pretty flexible.

La Maison Marigny, which is 1/2 block outside the Quarter, just across Esplanade, has availability for those dates. It%26#39;s a luxurious property, located two blocks from the clubs and restaurants on Frenchman St., and John Ramsey is an outstanding host.
